Educational Activities

“Education should be useful to society. It should make citizens follow the path of morality and righteousness and make their lives happy.

Students should realise the truth that education is for life not for living. Birds and beasts do not go to any university, yet they manage to live. We must seek education not for making money, but to understand the meaning of life”

Bal Vikas, later known as Sai Spiritual Education (SSE), was launched in 1969 by Sathya Sai Baba, as the primary basis of the great movement to restore the practice of Right-Conduct (Dharma) in the world. It is an extra-curricular spiritual and moral Education Programme run by the Education Wing of the Sri Sathya Sai Service Organisation in its Sathya Sai Centres worldwide.

The Aim
It is a nine year programme for children of all faiths to enable them to manifest their own Divinity.

Method
It uses the Five Teaching techniques: Prayers, Meditation, Story Telling, Group Devotional Singing and Group Activities to develop and promote the Human Values of Truth, Right-Conduct, Peace, Love and Non-violence (Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema and Ahimsa).

The Luton Sai Centre conducts regular classes every Sunday at 10.00am.

Venue: Denbigh High School, Alexandra Avenue, Beds, Luton LU3 1HE

For more details on the school lesson plans, please contact the SSSE coordinator.
